Rules

Welcome to InfinitySMP's Rules!

Welcome to the InfinitySMP Minecraft Network! These rules are designed to ensure a fun and fair experience for everyone. Please take the time to read them carefully. By joining our network, you agree to abide by these rules!

Note: These rules are subject to change. It is your responsibility to stay updated.

To ensure a positive and respectful environment, InfinitySMP employs a fair and consistent disciplinary system. Violations of our rules may result in the following punishments:

  • Mute: Temporary or permanent restriction from using the InfinitySMP network chat. This restricts a player's ability to communicate with others in-game.
  • Ban: Temporary or permanent exclusion from the InfinitySMP network. This prevents a player from accessing our server.
  • Blacklist: Permanent exclusion from the InfinitySMP network. A blacklist punishment indicates a severe or repeated history of rule violations. At this point, you are unlikely to be unbanned, as you either have a very serious violation or a substantial accumulation of offenses.

Appeals Process:

We understand that sometimes mistakes can happen, and players may feel they have been unfairly punished. Therefore, we offer an appeals process:

  • Initial Appeal: If you believe a punishment was unjust, you have the right to submit an appeal through our designated platform at [Appeal Platform Link]. Please provide all relevant information and evidence to support your case.  Appeals must be submitted within 30 days of the punishment.

  • What happens if you submit an appeal after 30 days?
  • If you submit your appeal after the 30-day deadline, the case and punishment will be considered justified. While we will still respond to your appeal and any further appeals, you will no longer have the right to a review of the evidence. This rule is in place to ensure a fair and efficient appeal process. If you believe you were falsely punished, it is in your best interest to appeal as soon as possible. A timely appeal allows us to review the case while all relevant data is still available, increasing the chances of a swift and accurate resolution.

  • Re-Appeal: If your initial appeal is denied, you may submit a new appeal after 14 days from the date of the denial.  However, the moderation team reserves the right to enforce a longer restriction period before a resubmission is allowed, depending on the severity of the offense.  Any extended restriction period will be communicated to the player.
  • Blacklist Appeals: Appeals for blacklist punishments are handled on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed to be successful. Due to the nature of a blacklist, reinstatement is rare and will only be considered in exceptional circumstances.

Proof and Confidentiality:

  • We understand players' wish to see proof of their alleged offenses. However, InfinitySMP does not publicly share proof against players. This is primarily due to the fact that such evidence often contains sensitive information, including anti-cheat data, staff-related information, and other details that could be exploited. Rest assured that if you submit an appeal claiming a false ban, a thorough review of the evidence, will be conducted by Administrators and above. This internal review ensures that punishments are justified and applied correctly, while also protecting the integrity of our systems and the privacy of our players.

Important Notice Regarding Unbans/Unmutes/Unblacklists:

  • In compliance with the Minecraft End User License Agreement (EULA), InfinitySMP does not offer or condone the purchase of unbans, unmutes, or unblacklists. Maintaining a fair and balanced environment. The appeals process outlined above is the only legitimate way for contesting a punishment.

This includes, but is not limited to, "drag clicking" (a technique where fingers are dragged across the mouse to create vibrations that register as clicks) and the use of any external tools or devices (e.g., electric toothbrushes) to generate clicks/cps. Use of such methods may result in bans related to auto-clickers. Players are advised that these methods are not permitted.

Important Notice!

We reserve the right to ban players even in cases where it is not clearly evident whether blacklisted modifications have been used. Players who deliberately choose to behave in the gray areas regarding this topic must expect a ban.
